can anybody post the kingdumb misery saying that the entire congregation is bloodguilty if a brother accidentally kills somebody on the road?.
it seems ridiculous to claim that jehoobie will have it in for all the dubby babies and their parents because of an accident on the road, but there it is.. they say the elduhs should investigate - don't you think the police are better qualified to do this rather than window washers and cracker and cheese men?.
For instance, a court may declare the person guilty of some technical violation of the law, but the investigating elders may determine that no bloodguilt exists because the driver had little or no control over the circumstances resulting in the fatality. Conversely, if the court dismisses the case, the elders may conclude that he actually is bloodguilty.
So the elders more qualified than the police to investigate the cause of an accident!

been thinking of this, because of having been raised in the witnesses.
i reflect back on opportunities i would have encountered and seized, had it not been for being controlled by the witness organization being told higher education was not needed.
I went to college on leaving school and was doing really well and thoroughly enjoying it but got real pressure from the CO. After two years I gave in and left, what a complete idiot I was! Looking back I think my parents should have supported my views instead of the CO. Got a low paid job but as Armageddon was going to be here before the course would have ended in the following year, so what?
Needless to say Armageddon never came and little George, who incidentally was never going to school in this old system, actually met a nice young sister and got married. She encouraged me to go to University and she worked full time to help in that.
It was the best thing we ever did. Forty years after I met this sister we are still happily married and although now both retired have the financial security to get by. We don't have millions in the bank but I shudder to think where we would be if I had not got a decent education and a reasonable job.
I would encourage anyone reading this, whatever age, get a good education. Armageddon is NOT coming anytime soon, but old age and retirement IS!!

I searched the CD-ROM for information on this to no great avail.
In view of the comment "Toward the year 1971, however, reponsible members of the slave class began to discern......". I expected to find a WT about 1972, explaining the old and new light. The only thing I found of 'significance' was a book published in that year 'Paradise Restored' but a glance through that was no real help. The WT of July 1, 1996 dealt with the Spiritual Temple but didn't seem to explain the 'true tent'.
As you and other posters have intimated, this is just hocus-pocus to try and give the GB some sort of credibility or superiority over the R&F.
As expected, our WT overseer took a single answer on this box, two sentences read from the page, and then moved on. I asked my mother how it was dealt with at their congregation but they had to miss that section as they were running behind time!!

A very interesting photo of C T Russell and friends on the Mount of Olives. I saw copies for sale on e-bay some time ago and wrote to the vendor about Malcolm Rutherford.
According to the 1910 Watchtower report on this trip the following were in the party: C T Russell, Bro Driscoll, Bro Jones, Bro Rutherford plus:- Bro & Sis Devault, Bro & Sis Ward & SON, Bro & Sis Owens, Sis's Cobb, Noble, Frost, Paschal, Houston & Jackson; Bro's Pierson, Wilson, Young & Koetitz (Joined Switzerland). Sis Rutherford travelled as far as Paris. A Bro Hall joined the group here. They were met in Jaffa by Bro & Sis Thompson. The trip to the Mount of Olives was on Sunday 24 April 1910. I think if young Malcolm had been on the trip it would have been mentioned in the Watchtower report. While C T Russell was in Britain, J F Rutherford took the opportunity to visit friends in Norway, Sweden & Denmark then rejoined the group a few weeks later. Once again no mention of Malcolm. I think the boy is probably the WARD's son.
I also checked the Ellis Island immigration data and when the trip returned to the USA Ward's son was 12 years old.
